Greenhill are not a traditional investment banking firm. MCM were tasked with creating a new workplace that would support their collegiate culture. A space that would foster the collaboration and teamwork that is paramount to the firm’s ethos and success. A space where employees would want to be.
MCM created a professional workplace that provides best in class experiences for Greenhill’s clients and employees. The space delivers the necessary privacy and confidentiality in both the cellular spaces and the open office, whist ensuring it remains warm, welcoming, and bright through the use of bold feature colours, natural materials and biophilia.
Located off the main reception a slick and modern client suite showcases Greenhill’s extensive art collection. Feature spaces include a multi-functional social hub and ‘heart space’ that can be utilized for events and bringing staff together as well as everyday collaboration.
Each wing has its own refreshment hub, print stations and phone booths with the remainder of the space containing a variety of seating types and various quiet rooms for focused work.
A bold desking configuration was adopted to address the needs of privacy whilst on video calls and to create dynamism within the space. Greenhill retained 1-1 desking with sit/stand desks throughout and a combination of single and shared offices. The challenge was to ensure that both offices and desking retained access to natural light.
